Our mission is to increase health literacy and to improve and prolong life.
We take complex medical information and turn it into clear language that everyone can understand, and we turn written medical text into podcasts, because for many people listening is easier than reading, and knowledge that is heard is more readily received and comprehended. We bring clear, accurate, and engaging health knowledge to patients, families, caregivers, and communities, because an informed patient asks better questions, makes better decisions, seeks care earlier, and partners more fully in their own treatment.
Every program we create, every word we publish, and every partnership we build is measured against one question: does it help people understand their health and live longer, better lives?
What We Believe
We believe health literacy is not a luxury; it is a determinant of health as real as any medication. We believe information given to patients must be accurate, evidence based, and honest, free of exaggeration and free of fear. We believe clarity is a form of respect: if our audience does not understand us, the failure is ours, not theirs. And we believe that the trust of patients and of health organizations is earned slowly and must never be spent cheaply.
